What can Porn do for me!!!??!!!

March 27, 2006 at 2:45 p03 (Uncategorized)

Can porn in the bedroom ever be negative to a couple? My opinion is no, but some key ideas and rules need to be established and discussed to the fullest extent between the couple. Everyone hears the stories how it ruins relationships and what not, but here's where the catch comes in, the couple never laid down any rules or discussed the feelings that they each felt about this topic. A relationship that is going to last needs to be able to discuss these things otherwise it leads people to be scared to ask and sneak around doing it. I mean honestly a couple should be able to enjoy this activity together and learn from it.
Some rules that could be discussed is 1)  how much time one may view porn 2) what kinds of porn are allowed 3) Only watch it together or alone or both 4) Must discuss what each other liked from the films and what the dislikes are

I think communication about the topic of porn is all that is needed to have a successful experience and make it  enjoyable for everyone with out anyone being hurt.

So watching some Hardcore Porn will make me rape women?

March 27, 2006 at 2:45 p03 (Uncategorized)

When I hear people state that "Watching porn will lead to rape, violence, against women!" I tend to roll my eyes at them in disapproval. To say this then one can say this about almost anything that people do in the world. The problem with the U.S. culture and society is that instead of accepting responsibility for our actions we have to turn to other sources to place blame on.

In all honestly I think a person can become addicted to any hobby or activity they partake in. When people say they became addicted to porn I can truly believe it, but to say that viewing porn made them commit some action I believe is just a easy way for them to relieve some guilt. Seriously watching a video of two people having sex is not going to make me go out and rape a woman, the desire or lack of ethics/morals a person has to not be able to control ones self is the final factor in the decision making process.

Would you Like a side of Spam with that Email?

March 12, 2006 at 2:45 p03 (Uncategorized)

Everyone has gone to open their email in hopes of a titled email saying “class is cancelled!” Well the other day I got a good laugh, I open my yahoo email account that I use when signing up for random things on the internet. First off it is flooded by spam, from gambling to porn spams that are labled “I have something urgent to tell you- Mom”.  I agree these emails are annoying and truely unwanted, but at the same time maybe if they want to crack down on these they should focus on the people giving out everyones email addresses instead of the emailer.

They are the ones feeding this spam infested world on the internet and need to be fined or penalized some how. Now onto the companies sending out the emails, these people should be prosecuted to the full extent. When you mislead someone into opening a email that could possibly contain offending material and allowing children to have easy access something needs to be done. I know that Dr H stated that they make very little money off of this tactic and approach to marketing a website, but we need to protect the children from these kinds of emails. I know parental controls will save children from  opening obvious emails but do they always work on these misleading titles ? It makes its way through my spam filters once and awhile by using creative titles and I have my spam filters set to the highest setting .

Truely I beleive that it would be impossible to regulate these spam senders even with the technology we have today. The only thing we can do is to possibly create better filter system that will stop all of these spammers and give them zero profits from there annoying practices thus giving them no reason at all to send these emails out anymore.

Oh my Gosh Woman look at Porn?

March 11, 2006 at 2:45 p03 (Uncategorized)

The double standards in our society are very apparent in the porn industry. Dr H. told us of the statistic that 42% of visitors to porn websites are woman. Why is it you never see any stereotype involving a woman? In our society they only show us that old man pervert down the street who is addicted to porno a website like the crack heads you find in the Heights near south campus.

Our society seems to refuse to let people think that woman are not sexual human beings just as men are. Woman are just like men and want to satisfy sexual fantasies that are human nature. Is it so bad to let woman act like a human? I am really surprised woman have not come out more often about how they can to enjoy a website with porn. If a man says he looks at porn woman go crazy and call him “Sick” and “perverted” but in my experience if a guy puts a porn on the tv on as a joke the woman in the room are far more attentive and interested then the guys in the room. So my opinion on this is that woman are just in porn as men are but our society has imprinted the idea that LADIES are not sexual beings so still today they have to take shots at someone who admits to watching some porn.

Hmm Investigate Fisting or Meth labs?

March 3, 2006 at 2:45 p03 (Uncategorized)

Im re-writing this post which talks about whether the government should be putting so much of our hard earned dollars into bringing the hammer down on porn industry.

In modern America the United States is presented with a myriad of problems plaguing our society. Problems of drug use, violence and even hunger remain widespread. However, the Bush Administration has deemed the pornography industry a major problem that needs to be dealt with. What is this administration thinking, are they now just picking and choosing certain battles that they can get the bible belt behind and beat? The industry as a whole operates just as any other legit business will operate, and the money in taxes they pay every year on the revenue they recieve, the government should be thanking them.
Not to mention, there simply are much bigger problems. However, George Bush objects to fisting because he says that these acts are immoral to his standards. There will be no fisting captured on film in America. Not on his watch. Good job George. Well I have a question for you Mr George , WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHATS IMMORAL? I love that our government has taken the liberty to tell our nation how and what we should think is immoral now. This is the U.S.A right? I thought this country was founded on letting the people have freedom, which last time I checked did not involve our government telling us how we are supposed to think and judge others.
Well known pornography entrepeneur Seymore Butts was prosecuted for the content of his “Tampa Tushie Fest” video. The primary objection from prosecutors was the element of fisting on the video. While this might be distasteful to the average American Butts did make some interesting points. His contention was that films have always portrayed fingering with virtually no objections. Why then does it become a problem when the thumb is included forming a fist? Certainly fisting is more extreme then other acts but who draws the line and where exactly do you draw it? Shouldn’t the line be drawn by the actress/actor and not by anyone else? They are the ones who are signing on for these sexual acts. They know harm could evovle from this but that is a risk they are knowingly taking. I mean the government treats these people like they are going into the streets and asking 10 year old kids “Hey want to see some fisting?” When in reality they are just like any other porn company and take precautions on who they sell and distribute the movies to. If adults want to view these movies who is the government to tell me it is considered obscene?
Personally, I would rather see my tax dollars spent on relief programs for the hungry or afflicted rather than the censorship of a film that individuals choose to view or not view.
